Arlington, Va. -- ThingMagic, a Massachusetts-based developer of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, said on Tuesday that it has landed a new investment as part of a technology development deal with In-Q-Tel, the Arlington-based venture fund backed by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Financial terms of the investment, which will allow the company to expand the development of its RFID reader and sensor technology, were not disclosed. ThingMagic, which is backed by Cisco, Tudor Ventures, The Exxel Group, Morningside Technology Ventures and .406 Ventures, raised $9.5 million last summer.
